I’m Benson, a UK documentary and fine art wedding photographer based in Kent, but travelling nationwide to cover weddings across England, Scotland, and Wales. For me, relaxed wedding photography isn’t just about creating beautiful images. It’s about capturing photos that feel true, reflecting how you genuinely felt, and preserving all the authentic love and emotion of your special day. My aim is to capture the genuine spirit of your wedding day, completely unstaged. I bring an energetic and imaginative style, blending documentary storytelling and creative, fashion-editorial flair with the inherent celebration of a wedding. On the day itself, I’m relaxed and discreet, moving with the day’s natural rhythm and blending in – almost like another guest, just with a camera. While I might occasionally suggest stepping aside for beautiful portraits at dusk, or when the light is particularly stunning (‘golden hour’), my focus remains firmly on capturing genuine moments as they happen naturally.
I’m someone who learnt photography shooting on and developing film in the darkroom. These days I mainly shoot using digital cameras, but still strive for that film look. With that aim, I’m also quite an adept editor, and I take the time to carefully craft each and every one of your photos, into a beautiful wedding collection that you’ll cherish for years to come.

I started my photography journey shooting film, and using a darkroom to develop my own prints- AKA as the old fashioned way.
My background is in street photography, capturing the moments as they happen, which I think has been great training for my work in both wedding and Event photography. Thinking about it, I have always been a people watcher, ever since I was a young kid, and I absolutely love people, and helping them tell their story, through my photography.
